Ramón's craftiness and playmaking ability made him a rare and unique offensive talent.
Ramón showed the world his versatility as a player by being able adapt and by finding ways to attack from different areas of the field. At the club level Ramón would play as an offensive midfielder and with the Mexican National Team he would take on the responsibility of the left fullback position. This is not something easy, not many players can make that kind of adjustment in their game. Having earned the honor, Ramón represented Mexico in the 1994 World Cup in the United States and the 1998 World Cup in France. Along with Claudio Suarez and Jorge Campos, Ramon also leads the list of players with the most games played for the Mexican National Team with 121 international matches.
