As the Super League tournament of the Bicentennial Cup continues to unwind, Mexico prepares to face-off against group rivals Peru needing to win the match in order to keep their playoffs hopes alive.

As Mexican first division teams prepared for the Apertura 2010 championship, SBSE contracted the services of Club America and CD Cruz Azul in order to stage one of Mexico's most historical rivalries.  Mexico City bragging rights and the passion of Mexican soccer fans invaded the Rose Bowl in Pasadena to witness this internationally transmitted event on Fox Deportes and Televisa. Chivas USA and the Houston Dynamo took the field at Harder Stadium at the University of California Santa Barbara as their final preparation match before they began their 2010 Major League Soccer campaign.  Part of the proceeds of this match were donated to Direct Relief International to help aid their efforts in Haiti and Chile for the earthquake victims.
